Objectives

  • Inform political decision makers, health care and social services agencies (HCSSAs), health care and social services centres (HCSSCs), community organizations and the general public concerning the importance of supporting paternal involvement and motivating them to take action to make fathers more visible in the community;

  • Develop and disseminate tools to support paternal involvement;

  • Support health care, social services and community institutions and organizations in establishing and adapting father-friendly services, activities and practices;

  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration for services that are more complementary and more consistent;

  • Contribute to the sustainability of the activities by implementing structuring actions.
