The mission of the Fathers Friendly Initiative within the Families (FFIF) is to promote fathers' involvement with respect to their children, families and communities. For this, the program supports the health care, social services and community networks serving parents and children in target areas. The FFIF guides the managers, nurses and social services workers in innovative, effective actions targeting fathers and their families. Promotion of paternal involvement is seen in this context as a determining factor in the health and development of children, fathers, mothers and families.
